Instant Pick-me-ups From Fellow College Students

Sometimes, being surrounded by people and having to study feels like too much. You just have to increase your confidence.

College is a time where motivation plays a bit role in how people perceive you. There are times where you feel blue, and it's hard to know how to react and feel when it comes to getting your mindset in the right place. To motivate yourself, there are a lot of things you can do, but I decided that today was the day when your fellow college students can lend some wise words to you in order to help you reach the goals that you want by giving you their instant pick me ups.

Eat healthy food: This is one of the least thought about solutions for the college blues. In fact, when you’re eating food that doesn't nourish you, your energy levels plummet, and that does nothing to help your mood. For that reason, one student wants to share his insight on this fact:
“When I’m feeling down, I love to eat something healthy, that makes me feel good” - Dave.

Get some sleep: You can get incredibly grumpy when you have not rested the right amount of time. For that reason, you need to consider taking naps or devoting yourself to take the right amount of sleep. Another student wanted to share her experience with it: “When I need a pick-me-up, I take a power nap. It makes me feel energized almost instantly. The best thing is that I can make it as short at 15 minutes, so I can take them any time of the day” - Danielle.

Do some exercise: While physical activity is recommended to anyone, the idea is to make it a habit while in college. It's a good thing to use it more frequently to get the extra energy you need. “I like to do something that I find exciting, like running or getting a karate class. That helps me shake off the stress of midterms and presentations” - Charles.

Get social: You need to allow yourself some time to meet with people you like to spend time with. Even if you are not very social, meeting with others can help you shake off your stress, and you can even talk to them about it, who knows? Maybe one of them can offer some insight or opinion about it. “I’m not a very a social person, but I love to share with my friends. Eating out or just watching a movie, it helps me control my mind when it comes to all the things I have to do.” - Albert.

At Marconi International University, we want you to experience the world through the eyes of a novelty in mind. For that reason, we want you to enjoy the experience of college with a unique outlook: getting ideas from others as to what to do when it comes to shaking off the stress through instant pick me ups that can help you reach the goals that you want.
