Sports and College: The Perfect Pair

Playing sports keeps you healthy and boost all your metabolism.

College can be incredibly busy for applied students. Sometimes, you want to have some more hours during the day in order to get more things done and be able to devote some of that time to yourself too. But since extra hours are unlikely to appear out of the blue, you need to find options that help you make the most out of the limited time you have. While for some people it’s a thing cutting off activities that “take time” like something extra in college, or meeting with friends, the reality is that, with organization and preparation, you can do these things while adding one bit of extra that will help your body be packed with energy to face the days ahead.

One of these small things that you can do is having the right amount of physical activity in your day, this will help your body be more prepared to learn and will boost your good mood. For that reason here at Marconi International University, we want you to experience the world in a whole different way, incorporating sports into your habits, and let me explain to you why sports and college are the two parts of a perfect pair.

Your body needs to be in the best shape to learn things correctly, right? The reason for this is that while you might not think it works that way, the reality is that your whole body plays a big role in your understanding of the matters at hand. Remember that every little bit of it it’s engaged with you in order to achieve every goal you set, that’s why it’s so important to keep it in optimum conditions, and that’s done through sports. Why this relationship? Because your brain and body work with hormones and neurochemical transmitters. These are created and regulated through a series of activities not only in the brain, but in the liver, muscles, pancreas and many other parts according to the type of transmitter. But the ones in charge of your mind are a particular kind: these are directly related to the general feeling of your body.

When you have enough exercise in your routine, there’s a good chance that you pick up information faster. The reason for this is that you’re giving your brain a great deal of oxygen and happy hormones, that make it even more productive. It will also have an impact on the motivation you feel. Why? Because it will increase your energy, and you will be more rested since sports and sleeping patterns go hand in hand. But there’s more to it! The promotion of sports in academic fields is not only related to health, many colleges offer programs that give scholarship chances to people that practice sports. You can also participate in sports in your academic institution. This will give you the opportunity to acquire a scholarship or some extra credits at the time of your graduation.

In Marconi International University, we impulse our students to participate in activities that will make them feel motivated, and that will help them, in the long run, having the right amount of energy to face the challenges they will have on their daily basis. It will also help them create a lasting group of friends, and increase their chances at participating in events that will nourish their leadership and companionship skills. What are you waiting to participate in sports team in your academic institution? Let us know your experience with this on the comments, or in our social media profiles!
